Sharon was born on August 25, 1937, in Orleans, Michigan.  She married Darrel Bannen, and in the next few years she had two boys: Arvin and Robert Bannen (deceased).  Darrel passed away in 1960 due to a car accident. On April 15, 1967, she married Jerrold Edward Freeman.  Sharon and Jerry enjoyed camping and fishing in Canada.  Sharon also was a member of a bowling league.  In 1979, Sharon lost her youngest son, Robert, 18 years old, as a result of a car accident.    Her oldest son married in 1979 and a son, Brent, was born to this union.  Her grandson, Brent, was her greatest joy.  Later on Arvin was blessed with a daughter, Brandi.  Brent was to be blessed with two boys, Gavin and Bradin, who loved coming over to Grandma and Grandpa's to ride the quads.  Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In the last several years, Sharon suffered from Alzheimer’s. When her condition worsened, she was admitted to the Memory Care Unit of Pathways, Mason Home, in Alma, Michigan where she resided until she passed away, February 12, 2016, at the age of 78.
