Lakeview – Albert Henry Jennings, age 82, of Lansing, passed away at St. Lawrence Hospice House on September 27, 2016. Albert was born April 13, 1934, in Shepard, Michigan, the son of Clyde and Margaret (Dashkovitz) Jennings. Al was raised in the Shepard area and Riverdale. He attended Vestaburg Community Schools. Al married Mary Jane Wing on July 31, 1954 in Riverdale, Michigan. Albert was employed as a Material Handler in Shipping and Receiving for Oldsmobile General Motors for over 30 years until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and working outdoors.
Albert will be deeply missed by his wife Mary Jane Jennings of Lansing; two children Rocky (Sherry) Jennings of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and Julie (Matthew) Randall of DeWitt; 5 grandchildren Chad, Chelsea, Anna, Christie, and Grace; 1 great-grandchild Tessa Rose; 4 brothers Clyde Jennings of Mt Pleasant, Loren (Wanda) Jennings of Indiana, Eugene (Linda) of Fayetteville, AK, and Darwin (Susie) of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Vivian Mason of Mt Pleasant; Shirley (Claude) Homes of Lansing, Joyce Horton of Evert, Darlene of Lakeland, FL, Elaine (John) Endries of Evert, and Rebecca (John) Rader of Densmore CA; many nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Margaret Jennings and one brother Larry Jennings.
In accordance to the families wishes cremation has taken place and services will be scheduled at a later date.
