Pamela Boomer                      "Rosebud"

Pamela Linn (Thompson) Boomer-Lakeview, Michigan

It is with heavy, yet joy-filled hearts we announce the passing of Pamela Linn (Thompson) Boomer, on October 9, 2015 at her home in Lakeview, MI. “Well done, good and faithful servant!”

Pamela was born in Lakeview, Michigan on March 11, 1970 to Carl and Lucille (Christensen) Thompson.  She was the youngest of 4 children.  In 1988, Pamela graduated from Lakeview High School.  In 1992, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University. Pamela continued her education and in 1993, she graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s Degree from CMU in Speech-Language Pathology.

On April 30, 1994, Pamela married Richard Boomer at Brockway Church in Morley.  In July of 1995 they welcomed Richard Karl (RK) into their home in Howard City, MI.  In October of 1996, Pamela and Richard welcomed their second son, Drake Austin into their home.

Pamela started her speech language pathology career in the medical field.  From September 1998 to June of 2015, Pamela worked as a speech language pathologist for Greenville Public Schools. Pamela loved working with students, seeing the progress they made, and connecting with their families.  She considered the staff at Cedar Crest Elementary, her speech-language pathologist colleagues, and many members of Greenville Public Schools administration to be not just co-workers, but friends and “school family”.

Pamela and Richard simply loved being wherever their sons were.  They cheered them on at track meets; golf matches, scouting events, and award assemblies. They played board and card games and watched movies and TV shows together.  Pamela loved each one of them unconditionally.

Pamela enjoyed scrapbooking, family vacations to Camp Crystal, reading her Bible and devotionals, crafting, and thrift shopping.  Pamela treasured pampering sessions, hot baths, and painted nails.  Pink was her color and heels were her shoes of choice.  Always looking fabulous and coordinated, Pamela connected with others, learned their name, and had them smiling shortly after meeting her.  Pamela was sassy, beautiful inside and out, and loving.  Her quick wit, superb memory, and seemingly boundless energy was a joy to watch when she interacted with others.  Pamela’s love for Christ showed daily with her actions, words and caring, bright spirit.

Pam had such an amazing Spirit! We don't always understand God's plan or timing, however we do know it is the perfect plan. I pray for those she left behind that they find peace and comfort in
    Jesus's arms.

It was with mixed emotion that I was blessed to meet Pamela. Your description of her seems perfect. She was such a strong person in such a difficult situation. She was adamant that she be surrounded
by her husband and boys for as long as possible. I wish we could've done more for her. A beautiful soul. God Bless All.
