Debra Marie Uhrich


Debra Marie Uhrich , age 58, of Six Lakes, MI, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids, MI. Debra was born October 1, 1956 in Saginaw, the daughter of Robert and Dianne Claflin Uhrich.

 Debra was raised in Saginaw and the Edmore area and graduated from Montabella High School Class of 1974. Upon graduation she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Central Michigan University in 1979. She worked as a Substitute Teacher over seventeen years until her retirement in 1995. 


Her many hobbies included reading, singing, playing piano and attending many church activities. She was a member of the Frost Seventh Day Adventist Church in Stanton, Michigan.


 Debra will be missed by her by her mother, Dianne Padilla of Stanton; three sisters; Linda Coleman, Laurie Uhrich and Kristina (Keith) Evans all of Six Lakes; three step brothers and four step sisters ; five nieces and nephews, Jason, Isaiah, Andrea, Tyler and Mikayla (who considered Debra as her second mother) and great nephew Aden; many aunts and uncles, cousins , friends and her church family.


 Debra was preceded in death by her father, Robert Uhrich; grandparents, Henry and Amelia Uhrich and Donald and Frances Claflin. 


 A celebration of Debra's life service will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2015. with a Vvisitation from 11 a.m. and service at 12 noon at Frost Seventh Day Adventist Church , 977 N. Neff Rd, Stanton MI' with Pastor Taylor Hinkle officiating.


The family will be accepting condolences from family and friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Six Lakes, MI.
