Clyde Christopher Chapman, age 54, of Edmore, passed away at McLaren Bay Regional Hospital in Bay City on September 3, 2015. Clyde was born October 1, 1960 in Lakeview, the son of Wayne Adelbert and Mable Josephine (Forrester) Chapman. Clyde was raised in rural Edmore and attended Montabella Public Schools in Blanchard. Clyde was self employed and owned and operated Chapman and Sons Excavating. He also worked as a Foreman for Day Construction. Clyde was a member of the Local 324 Union of Troy, Michigan. He enjoyed mud bogging, shooting pool, old cars, collecting, and his 1959 Studebaker (his pride and joy). Clyde loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Clyde will be greatly missed by his children Alicia Chapman of Vestaburg, Jeremy (Rachel) Chapman of Six Lakes, Clyde Chapman II (Nichole Smith) of Vestaburg, Mitchell Chapman (Brooke Brauher) of Vestaburg; seven grandchildren; two sisters Linda (Rick) Jones of Edmore, Lisa (John) Helms of Lakeview; two brothers Todd (Renee) Chapman of Blanchard, Harry (Tammy) Forrester of Edmore; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father Wayne A. Chapman, and one brother Howard Chapman.
Funeral services for Clyde will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Six Lakes, Michigan with Pastor Jim Bear officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Internment will be in Pine River Cemetery in Blanchard, Michigan.
