Vicki Lea Peterson


Vicki Lea Peterson, age 45, of Vestaburg, Michigan born on November 25, 1968, in Cadillac, Michigan. She passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at  McLaren Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  Vicki was the daughter of Robert and Dorris Vliet and a sister to Mike Seguine.  She was raised in the Manton area. After the loss of her mother, at an early age, her father married Colleen Cooper, who helped raise Vicki and soon became not only a step-mother but also a friend. Vicki graduated in 1987 from the Cadillac High School.


Then her love expanded when on April 26, 1989, her son, Vance VanWormer was born.  In 1995, she married Donovan Fawcett and gained a daughter, Toni Fawcett. They lived in Lake City, Michigan for 8 years.  She was employed with Fiamm Industries in Cadillac Michigan for 21 years. She first worked in the factory and then was promoted to their Customer Service department.  She was a dedicated worker and good friend.


On September 08, 2007, Vicki married Donald Erwin Peterson in Alma, Michigan.  She dedicated her life to the Lord and became a member of the Edmore Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Her interest and hobbies included spending time with loved ones, family, friends, laughing and joking around, she also loved camping, shopping, gardening, cooking, puzzles, crafts and her dog, Rufus.


Vicki is survived by her husband, Donald Peterson; son, Vance VanWormer of Cadillac; daughter, Toni (Bob) Fisher and granddaughter, Kylee Fisher of Ypsilanti, Michigan; and brother, Mike Seguine of California.


Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorris Vliet.


A Memorial Service for Vicki will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Robert Benson officiating.   Interment will be at the Cedar Lake Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Michigan.
