Great memories of growing up on Lakeview's West Side during the 1960s and playing sports with Rich and others from the neighborhood. We played all kinds including basketball, backyard football and an
early form of home run derby. Rich became so accomplished at basketball many younger players aspired to play hoops alongside him. That dream came true for me during one memorable season in 1968 and
1969. That version of the Wildcats could run, press, play stingy half court defense without fouling, humble man-to-man defenses with a precision pick & roll offense and shoot lights out against
zones thanks in large part to Rich Langdon. A salute from an old teammate.

Rich was a great teammate on the 1968-69 highly ranked LHS basketball team. Smart, funny, great golfer and best outside shooter in LHS b-ball history hands down.

So sorry to hear of Rich's passing. I played golf with him a number of times on the Lakeview league. Great guy - good golfer.
    He will be missed!
