Raymond Louis Becker

 

Raymond Louis Becker, age 70 of Remus, Michigan passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland in Midland, Michigan.  Raymond was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on October 26, 1943 to Raymond W. and Margaret (Edmonds) Becker.  Raymond was raised in the Blanchard area and graduated from the Blanchard High School in 1961. 

 

Raymond married Janet Allison, the love of his life for more than 50 years, on July 3, 1964 in Mt. Morris, Michigan.  He was employed for more that 32 years at the Hydromatic Buick Plant in Flint, Michigan.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, camping, but most of all spending time with his family.

 

Raymond is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Raymond Becker of Remus; daughter, Gail Becker of Remus; three grandchildren:  Adam Becker, Alissa (Tyler) Courter and Courtney Gee; 2 great-grandchildren:   Lexi Becker and Landon Courter with another on the way; two sisters:  Bonita Robertson of Danville, Virginia and Dorothy (Robert) Gerholtz of Fenton, Michigan and brother, Bill (Mary) Massey of Gobles, Michigan.

 

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Royal Massey and two sisters:  Shirley Sweeney and Bobbie Cavanaugh.

 

A funeral service for Raymond has been scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Pastor Susan O’Bryan officiating.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m.  also at the Edmore Chapel.   Interment will be in the Pine River Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in Ray’s honor to the American Kidney Foundation.
