Kenneth “Tiny” Ralph Davis
Kenneth “Tiny” Ralph Davis, age 73, of Elm Hall went to his heavenly home on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Tiny was born on September 30, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Thomas and Hazel (Hicks) Davis. He was raised in the Pontiac area and attended the Waterford Public Schools.
Tiny married the love of his life for more than 49 years, Beverly Jane Sheck, on November 5, 1965. He was employed as a custodian at the Pontiac General Hospital (State Branch) for more than 27 years. In 1977, Tiny and Beverly moved to the Alma area and in 1983 they moved to Elm Hall. Tiny was a member of Edmore Full Gospel Church in Edmore. His favorite hobby was working on cars.
Tiny is survived by his wife, Beverly Jane; his children: Fredrick (Judy) Davis of Tennessee, Kenneth (Denise) Davis, Jr. of California and Janet (Richard) Flegel of Elwell; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two sisters: Betty Dunn of Waterford and Norma Clayton of Orion Township and sister-in-law, Carol Davis of Clarkston.
Tiny was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Hazel; a grandson, Fred Davis, Jr.; and two brothers: Loarin and Thomas, Jr. “Buddy.”
A memorial service to celebrate Tiny’s life will be scheduled for a later date. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014, with Pastor Susan Obrien officiating, at the Ottawa Park Cemetery, 6180 Dixie Highway in Clarkston, Michigan (see map below).
