Karen Annette Warne
Karen Annette Warne, age 73, of Lakeview passed away Wednesday April 23, 2014, at her home with her family by her side. Karen was born in Pipestone City, Minnesota on July 19, 1940, to Leo and Esther (McAtee) Mulcrone. During Karen’s younger years she traveled with her family and attended many schools, mainly in the Dakotas.
On July 16, 1997, Karen married Dennis Warne her husband of 24 years; Dennis died in 2001. Karen was a dedicated employee for many years as a real estate manager. Karen enjoyed bingo, reading and crafting, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Karen was a member of the Christ the King St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview, Michigan. Karen is survived by two daughters: Kelly Mattoon of Waterford, Michigan and Tracy (Dr. Bruce) Martin of Knoxville, TN; one son, Steve (Barbara) Davidson of Lakeview; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren and her dog, Junie.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Esther; first husband, Bruce Davidson; second husband, Dennis Warne; son, Richard Davidson and three brothers: Brice, Gary and Timothy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Karen is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Christ the King St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lakeview. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (from 10 to 11 a.m.) at the church. Burial will follow at the Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore.
