Dorothy Jean Moore
Dorothy Jean Moore, age 80 of Coral passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Dorothy was born on June 30, 1932 in Hamilton, Ohio. She was the daughter of John W. and Eva Mae (Ladd) Winters, Sr. Dorothy was raised in the Sharonville, Ohio area and attended Madeira High School.
On April 10, 1976, Dorothy married the love of her life, Forrest “Lyle” Moore at their Coral, Michigan home. Dorothy was employed as a bread truck driver, a bakery worker and for 8 years she worked at Double D Plastics in Greenville, retiring in 1976.
As an excellent seamstress, she enjoyed sewing and quilting. She enjoyed working puzzles and loved lighthouses, ice skating, eagles and porcelain dolls. In her younger years, she loved working on cars with her dad. She loved to dance and was very involved in Arts. She enjoyed singing with her husband, who accompanied her by playing his guitar, attending flea markets, canteen trips for auction houses and job construction sites.
Dorothy is survived by her sons: Michael “Mike” (Velma “Vel”) Moore of Barryton and David Lyle (Cherie) Moore of Stanton; her grandchildren: Bradley (Jennifer) Narloch of Coral, Tina (Darren) Easiley of Paragould, Arkansas, Michael John (Sonja) Moore of Bay City, Christopher Loren (Krissi) Moore of Lakeview, Amanda (Michael “Mike”) Truax of Lancaster, Ohio, David Moore, II of Stanton, RaChelle Moore (Andy Lumbert) of Edmore; great grandchildren: John, William, Kayla, Alex, Issac, Cameron, Bailee, Sydney, Sammie, Ella, Marly and Mia; a brother, William “Porter” Winters of Cincinnati, Ohio and a sister-in-law, Mary Winters of California.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, “Lyle”; her parents, John and Eva; her daughter Robin “Celica” Sparks and son-in-law Richard Joseph Narloch; a great grandchild, Brandon Huback and siblings: John W. (Peggy) Winters, Jr., Lola “Louise” (Paul) Dion; Daniel Jay “Mickey” Winters and baby Gloria Winters.
According to Dorothy's wishes cremation has taken place and there may be services scheduled at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
